Boardman, Ohio Gentle Care for Pregnancy and Wellness
Approximately half of all women report experiencing some level of back pain during their pregnancy, causing some expecting mothers to feel that aches and pains are a normal part of life when you're carrying a child.
The reality, however, is that this doesn't have to be the case. Dr. Denise Carradine, the areas first female chiropractic physician has helped many women in the Boardman and surrounding areas experience a healthy and happy pregnancy. She's been helping expecting mothers feel better during pregnancy for over 25 years!
Gentle chiropractic care can help make pregnancy more enjoyable by effectively treating misalignments created by the ever-changing growing fetus, thus creating a more comfortable pregnancy and delivery.
There are other advantages of engaging in gentle chiropractic care during pregnancy, as well.
By treating subluxations and aligning the spine, the brain is better able to communicate with the rest of your body, which means more stable hormone levels, fewer headaches, less nausea, and feeling better in many more ways.
Pregnant women can benefit from Dr. Carradine’s gentle chiropractic methods to find and correct misalignments of the pelvis and spine, along with soft tissue techniques for spasm. During the treatment, the patient lays on a cushion specifically designed for pregnant women. Often within 24-48 hours of the first chiropractic adjustment, the baby will change from breech into the proper vertex position, but sometimes, it takes 2 weeks or more. The most success occurs between 32 and 37 weeks of gestation. After 37 weeks, the fetus may be too large to change positions. Success can occur after 37 weeks, but the likelihood of turning decreases.
Studies have found that chiropractic care during pregnancy is both effective and safe, which means that expecting mothers can enjoy the benefits of chiropractic physically, as well as mentally.
